Working in a series starting without a concept, play, adding layers, being in the moment, using shapes, edges . I start by using lines on the substrate with pencil, charcoal, drawing mediums, getting a feeling for the substrate. Next adding bold colour covering most of the line. Colour and shapes are added using acrylic, line to give energy to the painting, letting some lines show through, on the substrate to create lines connecting the shapes. Creating my own stencil shapes or just painting thick shapes with acrylic (shapes on shape), collage may come into play, (still at the play stage), Covering shapes and letting the art reveal itself to me, trusting in my personal expression and and process.
Creating interesting open space.

the ANCIENT PORTAL...where a soul can go.
This is a description of an exhilarating installation on the festival grounds of Kaleidofest 2014 which is a neighbourhood festival in north-central Edmonton. The artwork was created by Sharon Moore-Foster and Leona Olausen and Wanda Resek.
